When Sandy arrived at the Last Chance Ranch Sanctuary, she was terribly obese. She’s since slimmed down. Sandy makes a valiant attempt to chase the local rabbits, but can’t quite keep up the pace. Rose arrived at the Last Chance Ranch Sanctuary when she was about 6 months old, extremely insecure and afraid of people. To this day, she still has a tremendous amount of anxiety which has manifested itself in a bleeding ulcer. Idggy was rescued by us near the hardware store in town. She’d had a litter – sadly, some of the kittens had been killed by the heavy equipment nearby. We found homes for the remaining kittens, and Idggy has found her home with us. Read more »

Gizmo came to us when he was about 3 months old. Hawks had taken his mother, and he would have been left to die in the hot, hot desert. We noticed the mother cat’s body, and lo and behold there was a small kitten nearby – Gizmo. The hawk was still waiting. Read more »
