The best way to honor Adopt-a-Shelter-Dog month is to adopt a shelter dog! But, before you embark upon this new, exciting, and rewarding task of bringing a dog into your home, ask yourself the following questions:
- If you have any other pets, how will they react to a new dog?
- Does anyone in your household have health issues (allergies, etc.) that would be impacted by a dog?
- How can your work and social life fit around the obligations of dog ownership?
- Do you have enough financial stability to take care of a dog?
These and more questions can be found at Petfinder’s dog adoption checklist. If you believe you are ready to adopt a dog, there are plenty of resources to find the shelter canine right for you and your household. Check out petfinder.com, aspca.com, and your local shelters.

Friday, November 2, 2012 I am broken hretaed to see these kitty cats die. I would like to meet the white one. I lost a white cat a while ago, and think I am ready to start a new relationship with another kitty cat.
