House training your new kitten can be a daunting and frustrating task, but knowing a few things about litter box placement could be a saving grace. Here are some helpful tips:

  • Make the litter box easily accessible for your cat so they will not go on a mad goose hunt when it’s time to tinkle.
  • An easily accessible litter box gives your cat a hiding place should they feel threatened.
  • Make sure to keep the litter box clean. Cats by nature are clean animals and would prefer not to step into a dirty litter box. I suppose it’s how most of us feel about stepping into a dirty bathroom.
  • Keep your cat’s litter box a good distance away from their food and water, since they would prefer to keep the litter box smell away from their food supply.

These tips may not work for every cat, but they are extremely helpful ideas to help promote a stress-free bathroom situation. Good luck!
