Milo had been begging to go outside, so finally I figured, why not? I let him out, and then I hear barking. Guess what??? I go around the back of the house, and there are 25 cows that have started to run! I call him and he actually did come running up to me, but when I tried to grab his collar, he took off after the cows. I ran inside real quick to try and grab the camera, but by then the chase was on! A minute later, Milo and the cows had disappeared over the hill. The cows were really moving now. Off I go, trying to catch him, about 4 miles across the desert. By the time I got to where I last saw them, the cows are gone. Milo is gone. I looked for him, didn’t see him. As I turn around to head home, he shows up. His front leg is cramping up, my legs are cramping up after running all that way chasing him! I wasn’t sure we were going to make it. You should have seen us, we limped all the way home, had to take turns resting. I could almost hear him saying, “Mom, you didn’t bring the cart?”
I guess missing a leg hasn’t slowed Milo down too much!
Wishing there were two of me, Annie
