A lot of us probably remember growing up with the stories of Dr. Seuss. The Cat in the Hat, The Lorax, Green Eggs and Ham. These were, and still are, classics in children’s literature. He passed away back in ’91, but his good humor and worthwhile life lessons for young and old alike will be with us forever.
So all you kids at heart, remember when little Sally and her brother were left all alone at home on a rainy day: “Too wet to go out and too cold to play ball. So we sat in the house. We did nothing at all.”
Then along comes the Cat with his rhyming advice: “I know it is wet and the sun is not sunny. But we can have lots of good fun that is funny!”
Don’t let a little rain dampen your spirits. Be creative and live life to the fullest. You never know what might come along in a red and white stripped hat to brighten your day. Happy birthday, Dr. Seuss!
