Today Is International Women’s Day

March 8 is International Women’s Day! So if you’re a man, find those special women in your lives and let them know how valued they are. Flowers and candy are always a safe bet, but if you really want to impress, how about a hand-written note expressing just how much you appreciate those close to you? If you’re lucky enough to be a woman, then rejoice in your awesomeness! And be prepared to eat a lot of chocolate for lunch. Oh, the sacrifices!
International Women’s Day was first observed in the early 20^th century as a way of honoring the working women of the world, but over the years the celebration has come to represent a more generalized appreciation of all women. You may not get the day off from work, but over 100 countries recognize and celebrate IWD, so join in and appreciate those important women in your lives.
